I purchased the Pedal Steel Patch cord which is the best cord I have found to pass a very clean and high output signal to the amplify and it has eliminated a lot of inference problems I have had. I also purchase two 10 foot guitar cords which I am using for the pedal board- very heavy duty and will survive life on the stage.

As a working musician I keep my instruments and gear organized in "kits". These kits have all the supporting gear for the instrument or instruments I am using in a performance. Dobro, Lap Steel, Pedal Steel all require different pedal boards, stands and sound reinforcement equipment. My cables were an odd assortment of cables that I had acquired over the years. The criteria for cable replacement was "when it failed during a show" it was replaced. This lead to some disastrous cable failures at really bad times. I knew I had to get my cables in order. Most of the time there is a lot of confusion clearing a stage. People are in a hurry. This is where you loose cables! Black cables get rolled up and carried away accidentally. Get odd matching colors for a particular instrument.
