I have become a pedal junky and have 4 boards built right now. We have been traveling a lot recently to deal with aging family so I built this board to take along. I was playing in an 80s hair band in the 80s then grunge happened and I took 30 years off to raise a family. We moved to Texas a few years ago and found the music scene to be alive and well so I dusted off the gear and started picking up new additions. I decided to submit this board first as it is my first to be converted over to all rattlesnake cables. The board is as simple as it looks.
Flow is Charvel or Les Paul to:
Rattlesnake junction box - I added this after purchasing several rattlesnake cables and realized how indestructible they are so thought I would add the box to prevent pedal wear. I know it's anal.
Suhr Rufus reloaded - this is an octave fuzz that sounds really cool I use it just for fun.
Suhr Shiba drive reloaded - I love this pedal it is a great boost or crunchy drive. I think of it as an improved super overdrive with a lower noise floor.
Suhr Riot mini - basically a hot rod Marshall in a box. I have the full size reloaded as well that is awesome but for this setup there is just something magic with the original.
Catalinbread Belle Epoch - A version of the chopped. I just like a warm single slap back with it.
Back to junction box and whatever amp I have with me. That's it for this one. I am glad I found rattlesnake cables, it's so nice to have a reliable piece of equipment that allows us old guys that worry about everything breaking some real piece of mind. I hope to get another hair band going in the near future when my playing is up to snuff.
Thanks rattlesnake team for all you do. Truly best in the business. Play Loud!
About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.
All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!
You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.
