Our TRS Cable is a dual conductor cable with the same outside diameter as our standard instrument cable. Our custom, US milled TRS cables use Neutrik Gold TRS plugs. If you're looking for the best TRS cable for your instrument or studio needs, look no further.
If you're wanting a custom TRS cable (length, plug configuration, etc) or TRS patch cables - they are available, but you will need to submit a custom request
TRS is an acronym that stands for Tip, Ring, and Sleeve - which reference the conductors of the plug. With each TRS cable, a 20AWG conductor would be connecting to the tip contact of the plug, a conductor on the ring contact of the plug, and the internal braided copper shield is bound to the plug's shield.
A TRS instrument cable is a simple cable containing two internal conductors and a shield. Standard instrument cables use a single conductor and shield. The purpose of this type of cable is to pass a pair of signals instead of a single signal.
For example a TRS cable could be used as a stereo cable passing left and right signals in a single cable – like an auxiliary cable or headphone extension cable. A TRS cable for guitar could be used to pass multiple pickup sources (piezo and magnetic pickup) down a single cable. A TRS audio cable could also be used as an XLR or balanced cable used in many recording interfaces.
If you’re in need of different plug configurations like a TRS to XLR cable, view our page on balanced monitor cables. Are you looking for something custom? A set of specific-length patch cables? Or a longer or shorter instrument cable? Maybe you're looking for a limited weave we offered in the past but is no longer available. Shoot us a Custom Build Request, and we'll see what we can do to help!
