"Snake Head," as we like to call them, is a cable with the heat and abrasion-resistant sleeving stopping short at the end connecting to the instrument. This technique leaves a portion of raw cable touching the instrument, perfect for wrapping around guitar straps. Our TRS (Stereo / Balanced) Snake Head Instrument Cables come in 10', 15', and 20' lengths. Each cable can have a straight, right angle or a mix of TRS Neutrik Gold plugs - be sure to select the proper plug style connecting to the instrument.
Snake Heads are ideal for connecting your instrument to a pedalboard or directly to the amp. Suppose you're looking for a cable connecting from pedalboard to amp. In that case, we recommend our Standard Instrument Cable - where the weaving fully covers the cable from plug end to plug end.
Our TRS Snake Head is ideal for Rick-O-Sound setups or guitars that have a stereo output jack for Piezo/Magnetic pickup combinations. Please be aware that this is a Balanced or Stereo cable. If you're looking for an unbalanced mono Snake Head, please view our Snake Head Instrument Cable.

We take great pride that our custom instrument, XLR, and speaker cables are milled in the United States. All of our milled cables are built to our specifications here in the states and then soldered by hand in Missoula, Montana, by our great team!

The cables themselves should be considered the standard, virtually indestructible and far superior tone. Nothing else even comes close. Do yourself a favor and throw away all your cables, speaker and pedalboard included and replace them now with Rattlesnake Cables. You can thank me later.

I have purchased and regularly use several Rattlesnake cables and a junction box. As an engineer and a perfectionist, I have never been anything other than completely impressed and satisfied with the quality and gig-worthiness of Hank’s products. There are no better professional-grade cables (and other products) in the market no matter the price. I also can’t say enough about their quick response and production times, and superb customer service.
