Pedal Line Friday :: Chris K

Chris K

Hey there! Thanks for doing Pedal Line Friday. Details on my bass pedalboard below.

I recently built out a new, smaller bass board using a Pedaltrain Metro 20, Voodoo Lab X4, and Rattlesnake patch cables with pancake ends. Pedals in order of signal chain.

Rattlesnake Retro Coily Cable with gold ends.

Peterson Strobo Stomp HD - This is the first strobe tuner I’ve owned, it lives up to the hype and has some cool features.

Keeley C4 compressor - Easy to dial in, plays well with other pedals, adds note clarity and brings out the nuances of the bass.

Fowl Sounds Axehammer - A great distortion with a wide range of sounds, expansive EQ, and plenty of headroom.

Death By Audio Bass War - Easily the most unique fuzz in my collection. Lots of volume on tap and the Mix control really helps to dial your tone.

EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport Legacy Reissue - I love this pedal. Great sounding delay and the modulation is a lot of fun. Easy to dial in from mild to wild.

Rattlesnake Standard Cable with gold ends.

Submit Your Pedal Line!

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.

The weaves on Rattlesnakes do not come undone like the cheapos. I recently purchased more cables from Rattlesnake after I had one still kicking for over 8 years. The connectors straight and right are very sturdy and the snake heads are great for strap through. I have also been inside one of the... Read

This company and their products are awesome. I sent an email question and the owner actually called me back by phone I have never had that happen. Service is fast and products arrived in cotton bags which is very cool. If you need professional cables these guys are the best. Thanks Hank.

The weaves on Rattlesnakes do not come undone like the cheapos. I recently purchased more cables from Rattlesnake after I had one still kicking for over 8 years. The connectors straight and right are very sturdy and the snake heads are great for strap through. I have also been inside one of the instruments cables. They are well built, good looking wire inside these fellers. I will be buying more. Thanks for these awesome cables!
