Pedal Line Friday :: Matt B.

Matt B.

This is my son 16 year old son Logan’s pedalboard. We have been collecting for a few years and finally assembled a hybrid board for the Neural Quad Cortex.

He and I assembled it together. The signal chain:

Guitar into Fulltone Supa-Wah (buffer off) into the Gigrig Quartermaster 10. The quart master has the Peterson Strobevue in the first position as a global mute.

Next positions as follows.

ZVEX MAPS reverse Fuzz Factory

Boss TB-2W Tonebender

Vemuram Shanks II

Vemuram Myriad Fuzz

Vemuram Jan-Ray

Vemuram/Ibanez TSV808

Vemuram ODS-1

Vemuram Butter Machine

Vemuram Budi-g

From the quartermaster it goes into 29 Pedals EUNA and then into the Neural Quad Cortex

In the QC FX loop 1 is into the always on Vemuram Spirit tone (Klon) in front of all amps.

QC FX loop 2 is the Diamond Pedals Limited Edition Vibrato with Panasonic chip.

The QC has two amps from amalgam audio

Train Wreck and Marshall it also has a IR of a Zilla 2x12 with eminence speakers loaded. It handles the tape delay and plate reverb as well. This all gets routed via XLR to the Laney FR-112.

This rig right now is mostly used in his home studio. We did build it to handle all rock and punk tones playing with his cover band.

Submit Your Pedal Line!

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.

Really impressed with not only the quality of the cables, but the top notch service. They are very accomodating and helpful. Have to say the Diamondback snake pattern is my favorite design in cables. US made, as well.

I purchased 2 guitar cables from a local music store a few weeks back. The clerk said that t"these cables would last a lifetime" OK i figured. They are from a well known manufacturer. They look good. They feel sturdy. go ahead. Only after getting them home and plugging in do I see their made in china. Then come the buzz. not the amp hum, but a buzz that won't go away. Now I start looking for American made Guitar cables. and I find Rattlesnake cables in Missoula Montana. A small, local (to Montana), business. I placed my order on Friday afternoon and for a response within the hour that the order was received. then Cables being assembled, then shipped ! I had 3 cables in hand the following Monday (p.s. I'm in North Jersey). They look better, feel better and best of all NO BUZZ. I will not hesitate next time I need to replace a cable. Hank & his crew at Rattlesnake and a pleasure to do business with. Prices are fair and competitive to other manufacturers. Best of all an AMERICAN MANUFACTURER! Need a cable? BUY AMERICAN BUY LOCAL BUY RATTLESNAKE CABLES Regards, Ed
