READ ANOTHER TESTIMONIAL
Just got a new Custom District deluxe board that I have recently built up.
My board is built on a Custom District Deluxe board using a Cioks DC7 power supply mounted underneath with under-board routing. The board has built-in dual inputs with routing underneath and stereo outputs, allowing me to run two amps in parallel or use a switcher. Currently running one channel into a Vox MV-50 and the other into a Fender Deluxe Tone Master.
My single chain is:
- TC Electronic Polytune
- Chase Bliss Brothers AM boost/OD that gives me two boost channels that
I can switch or run in series
- Catalinbread Epoc Boost that just adds color and depth
- Keeley Compressor that doesnβt squish my signal, just sounds better
- Boss RT-2 Rotary Ensemble chorus because I donβt have a real Leslie.
This runs in stereo mode
- MAE Civil Math - Muff-derived fuzz that sounds psychedelic feed by the Leslie emulator
- Drunk Beaver Lighthouse delay - amazingly shapable pedal
- TC Electronic Plethora X1 multi-effect pedal for a lot of effects that I don't use a lot, also running in stereo
My main amp is a Vox MV-50 AC that is on another, small Custom District board using a Truetone power supply with the signal running through a Boss GE-7 Equalizer into a Catalinbread Topanga Spring Reverb that I run at 18V and use as a clean boost for the Vox.
I am using a custom cabinet with a 12" Eminence Cannabis Rex speaker. Signal cabling is, of course, Rattlesnake with custom patch cables. This rig is very flexible and lightweight, offering a wide range of sounds.
I also have a secondary board that can be inserted between the Keeley and the Boss RT-2 with a bunch of pedals that I donβt have space for on my main board, or I am experimenting with. Among these are:
- BSRI Magawa distortion (Rat clone with excellent shaping)
- Drunk Beaver Cold War Bat (Rat clone with lots of flexibility)
- Drunk Beaver Jellyfish (really flexible and shapable chorus)
Thanks for all your support over the past 6 years. My original cables are still going strong!
About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.
All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!
You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.
