Pedal Line Friday :: Damon S.

Damon S.

This board is used for most of my writing and practicing. It is in my living room - it currently has both of those Chase Bliss loss pedals in it because I am using it in a project with minimal, lo-fi guitar stuff. Those results are starting to appear at @xandidusty on instagram and may also appear on youtube. there is a "basement" board that is for cinematic (literally playing with film) improv and space rock freakouts. This is pretty basic - that is a one off Seeker Ritualist- fuzz face into rangemaster. excellent. The Pete Cornish is a transparent drive that sounds great. The KoT has both sides set to boost, but they are EQed differently. The GURUS echosex is really good and warm - it runs into the Surfybear reverb tank. The reverb out runs into the a/b box - one side goes to the Blooper (the expression pedal is mostly just to control loop volume) which goes into a Dr. Z 18w Carmann Ghia (not pictured). The other output goes to the tweed Deluxe in the picture, built by my good friend Dave at Belmont Amplification. If I am going to play somewhere, the satellite boards come off and I will just swap the a/b for the Blooper if I need it. Otherwise, I'll add a tremolo (either surfybear or gravitas). Sorry none of your cable are in this picture- I wish they were! Someday!

Submit Your Pedal Line!

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.

Bought my first Rattlesnake Cable Co. cable and was very pleased all around. The Customer Service was top notch, shipping was quick and the cable arrived well packaged. Performance-wise, the cable is well built and should be very durable. The sound is what I was shocked by the most (its just a cable, right???). I have been using pretty decent cables for years, but the Rattlesnake cable had a noticeable clarity right away, compared to my other cables. Highly recommend this product.
