My current 2024 Pedal board build:

1. CIOKS DC7 Pedal Power Supply – I chose this and the CIOKS 8 because it has isolated lines and because of its slim design it works very well under the board

2. CIOKS 8 Power Supply – great extension to the CIOKS DC7.

3. TC Electronic's PolyTune 3 Mini – one of the most reliable buffers and tuners on the market, even better that it is small and compact saving board real estate

4. Empress Effects ParaEq MkII Equalizer and Boost Pedal – I use this to round out the sound of the guitar

5. Lil Trees Guitar Company Velvet Ant – my go-to fuzz/distortion pedal, reliable and always sounds great.

6. UAFX 1176 Studio Compressor – pulls all the tones together to help produce the best sound I can.

7. Greer Amps Lightspeed Organic Overdrive – just a great clean overdrive; Plays well with other overdrives (really stackable).

8. Browne Amplification's Protein – 2 overdrive pedals combined in one (the ODR 1 and the Blues driver overdrive pedals ) The Protein is almost always on because of its ability to get a beautiful overdriven tone.

9. Greer Amps Black Mountain Crunch Drive – This in addition to the UAFX Woodrow creates this beautiful high-gain "marshally" sound which just adds more versatility to the board.

10. Strymon's UltraViolet Vintage Vibe Chorus and Vibrato Pedal – one of my favorite chorus pedals not super extreme but gets the job done.

11. Strymon's Flint Tremolo and Reverb – always on reverb is always your best friend even if your running high gain a little reverb just adds to the sustain. Also worth mentioning is that this pedal also has tremolo.

12. Keeley Halo Andy Timmons Dual Echo Pedal – a great delay pedal that can have pre-saved settings in which you can have different speeds of delay saved so in an extremely dynamic song it can be useful to have different delay settings saved.

13. Catalinbread's EpochBoost Preamp/Buffer – I use it if I just want to have more gain running through my UAFX dream.

14. UAFX Woodrow '55 instrument Amplifier – A great tweed sounding amp simulator based off of the '55 fender tweed amp.

15. UAFX Dream '65 Reverb Amp – My go to amp such a great sounding amp and is just great to put different pedals onto.

16. Pinstripe Pedals DISO+ Original Dual Line Isolator – really gets rid of the 60's cycle hum and in my opinion is better than the Walrus Canvas pedal. Plus, it is slim enough to fit under the board.

Just a side note: We purchased a few rattlesnake cables not too long ago and they are now my go to cables.

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

I was looking for a rather long cable to run from my pedal board to my amp. I was, obviously, concerned about tone loss, but needed to relocate my amp. Hank was very responsive to my questions, and guiding me in what I am trying to accomplish. His cables are fantastic, and very durable. In the end, he gave me a cable that works for exactly what I need. As a result, I've purchased other cables and a tester from Rattlesnake Cable Company. I highly recommend them!
