I have been building out this pedalboard for about five years now, I use it for both guitar and bass. When I perform as Three Reefs Deep I play guitar, using the Solo XT to store and play back my basslines and samples, and the sDrum to keep the loopers (and me) synchronized. With this setup I am able to output either 1 summed signal with guitar, bass, samples, and drums, or I can provide 4 individual outputs for the FOH to mix. I also use this board for all of my songwriting and stereo recording, I am able to record direct regardless of the amount of background noise in my environment.

I power the board using rechargeable USB batteries and the Mission Engineering 529 power converters. I have to use a separate power supply and battery for the Solo XT as it is an older noisy digital unit. The only update I've made since filming this video is that I now run the RE2 in mono to save cables.

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.
All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

I can't say enough about the exceptional quality of Rattlesnake Cables nor the customer service from Hank and his team. Owning some of the most expensive top of the line Fender Bass guitars and Mark Bass heads and cabinets, I feel you're only as good as the weakest link and every tiny detail matters, thus why my connecting cables need to be the very highest quality and construction.
