Pedal Line Friday :: Todd L.

Todd L.

My amp is a 12 watt Deluxe Amplification Ryman. My guitars are a G&L Fullerton Deluxe Skyhawk and a USA G&L Bluesboy. The board is a Friedman 1529. Very sturdy board. The board comes with a ramp war the wah pedal which is a standard Dunlop Crybaby. Next there’s a Wampler mini-ego compression pedal underneath the board for space since it’s always on. From there into the Boss TU-3 tuner then into a Beetronics Custom Shop Royal Jelly, a medium fuzz pedal I’d call it. The white pedal is a stackable 2 channel over drive from Xotic call the AC plus, unfortunately no longer made. Then the J Rockett Archer ikon giving another layer of overdrive. I went with the MXR Carbon Copy delay because it’s very simple to use. The Old Blood Noise endeavors dweller could be described as a delay with some strange twists. I have the EarthQuaker Devices Astral Destiny for some ambient sounds. The Beetronics Zzombee is a wild pedal that has to be heard to describe. It’s not for normal people. Finally the J Rockett Uni-Verb is a reverb and chorus pedal. On the back is a Walrus Audio Canvas 15 spot power supply. Of course all of the cables are Rattlesnake. The underneath is very clean because I have 2 one foot patch cables which were perfect length. No mess hanging down.

Submit Your Pedal Line!

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.

Rattlesnake Cables is a wonderful company--I've ordered from them a few times now. The product is platinum quality, and the customer service is second to none. You can pay a lot more or a lot less for cables out there, but none of them will have the combined product quality and customer service... Read

There’s a reason there’s 500+ reviews and they have a perfect 5 stars. I can’t say enough nice things about this company and their cables/accessories. I’m a big proponent of ā€œyou get what you pay forā€ and these deliver just that and then some. Never any buzz or signal loss, they look... Read

Rattlesnake Cables is a wonderful company--I've ordered from them a few times now. The product is platinum quality, and the customer service is second to none. You can pay a lot more or a lot less for cables out there, but none of them will have the combined product quality and customer service experience. I really can't recommend them enough. Do yourself a favor and get the Rattlesnake experience.

There’s a reason there’s 500+ reviews and they have a perfect 5 stars. I can’t say enough nice things about this company and their cables/accessories. I’m a big proponent of ā€œyou get what you pay forā€ and these deliver just that and then some. Never any buzz or signal loss, they look fantastic, they feel fantastic. They’re not cheap, and I’m not rich, so the fact that my studio and gig bag is filled with their cables is testament to why I keep coming back a couple cables at a time. It’s flat out worth it. I’ve gotten quite a few unprompted compliments from fellow musicians who I’ve gigged with, and a few from old men who just recognize a well built cable when they’re out to dinner listening to a cover band. Every order has always came lightning fast, with a thank you written on a pad, packed with care. I recently had USPS miss-deliver (and lose) a package, and Amy was on it to get me a replacement as soon as it was apparent it was lost.
