READ ANOTHER TESTIMONIAL
I'm a harp player that started teaching myself guitar a few yrs. ago. I found one in a case by a dumpster. Now I have 3, a late '60's Teisco Encore, (dumpster find), a '20 Gretsch 2622T Streamliner, & a '24 Royall 12 string Tricone Resonator..
The routing is:
BOSS TU-3> BOSS PW-3> Li'l RAT> BOSS OD-3> BOSS FDR-1 > Walrus Slotva > Walrus Monument > Donner Yellow Fall > MXR Carbon Copy Mini > Keeley DynoMyRoto > Keeley Comp Mini > MXR 10 band EQ > Lehle P-Split Stereo > BASSBREAKER 45 x 2 / BASSBREAKER 007
TU-3 Bypass > TRIO+ > Kitty Hawk M1, (probably *the* loudest monitor you'll ever hear, lol.)
I either run a '20 Gretsch 2622T Streamliner, or a '24 Royall 12 string Tricone Resonator thru it.
All powered by MXR ISO 10 PRO, which fits nicely underneath.
The process for picking each was task specific, but, also to stack well w/ others on the board. I started playing late, & now isn't the time to start "aquiring", so I was very particular.
Key attributes were: tried, true, tested, reliable, durable, reasonable. Each was a reward for personal goals achieved.
I built this board over a 3 yr. span, the board itself w/ $47 of parts from the hardware store. 3/4" Red Oak & some 3" stool legs, w/ 7 coats of dark walnut stain. Took about 8 beers to do.
To polish things off, I went w/ RattleSnake standards to connect the board & amps. They check all the boxes, they look/sound awesome, & are made here, too.
About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.
All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!
You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.
