Pedal Line Friday :: Brian F.

Brian F.

Hello,

Here is my pedal board and a brief description.

I start with an Eric Johnson Strat. First is my TC polytune tuner, then to my Morley Power Way that I mostly use as a column control. From there I hit my Wampler compressor (sometimes on and sometimes off) and then my Ibanez Tube Screamer. The screamer is a nice distortion but doesnโ€™t have a ton of overdrive. Next I go to the Mad Professor BlueBird with delay. Itโ€™s a great lead pedal and when combines with the Screamer I can get some pretty decent overdrive. After that I have a nice boost for big leads on the TC Spark booster then my TC Flashback which is almost always on slap back. From there itโ€™s on to the Dimension C Boss chorus and then the crown jewel the Big Sky. Lastly my Fender Blues Jr. or the Dr. Z Max 18. Real nice set up and works pretty good for me.

Submit Your Pedal Line!

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.

Rattlesnake cables was an experience I have not had since my discovery of Sweetwater, the music gear company. Rattlesnake not only makes quality cables, whether it be stock or custom for your needs, but their approach to customer satisfaction is unmatched. Not only do you receive you're order promptly, it is preceded with emails to confirm your purchase and shipping; along with a personalized thank you video from Hank from Rattlesnake. It may not sound like much but it makes the experience more personal and makes you feel special. Shipping in quick, usually 2 days; and when you receive your cable(s), they are individually packaged in cool burlap sacks bearing the Rattlesnake logo. There are also some decals and offers in the box and a notepad with a personalized Thank You from the Rattlesnake team. Oh and if I didn't mention it, the cables are AWESOME. You can feel the quality and they sound great too. This is a small (and hopefully up and coming) company that deserves to be given the opportunity to grow as long as they can stay true to their customers. So try one and you won't be disappointed!
