Pedal Line Friday :: Brian F.

Brian F.

Hello,

Here is my pedal board and a brief description.

I start with an Eric Johnson Strat. First is my TC polytune tuner, then to my Morley Power Way that I mostly use as a column control. From there I hit my Wampler compressor (sometimes on and sometimes off) and then my Ibanez Tube Screamer. The screamer is a nice distortion but doesn’t have a ton of overdrive. Next I go to the Mad Professor BlueBird with delay. It’s a great lead pedal and when combines with the Screamer I can get some pretty decent overdrive. After that I have a nice boost for big leads on the TC Spark booster then my TC Flashback which is almost always on slap back. From there it’s on to the Dimension C Boss chorus and then the crown jewel the Big Sky. Lastly my Fender Blues Jr. or the Dr. Z Max 18. Real nice set up and works pretty good for me.

Submit Your Pedal Line!

About a million years ago, I used to run a blog called EffectsBay. On that blog, the most popular feature I would run was Pedal Line Friday. This is where readers of the site would send pics of their pedalboard and a short (sometimes long) write-up of routing and thoughts about specific pedals and the reasoning why they liked it, etc. Readers. loved this. It was a great way to learn about new applications or techniques regarding pedals. It also brought a little inspiration and knowledge about pedals you were not familiar with. It also brought a great sense of community - people like sharing and absorbing cool things, right? It was a super popular feature, and I loved putting them together.

All you have to do is send a pic of your pedalboard (or pedal line - it doesn't have to be on a board) along with a short (or long) write-up of the board. We want a list of pedals (manufacturer/model), routing would be great, and, most importantly, why you use those particular pedals. Also, this is a great way to promote your band or musical project - include that information as well!

You can send the pic and the write-up to pedalline@rattlesnakecables.com.

Just purchased my second instrument cable from Rattlesnake, another snake head in Sidewinder Red. I simply love everything about the product and the company. First, workmanship… you will not find a cable that looks better and provides the clearest single as these will. Not just new but two years... Read

I recently purchased 2x 20' guitar cables in snake weave and 1 speaker cable in snake weave, and I believe these are the best cables I have used, and that's 30+ years of gigs and using a ton of cables from different manufacturers. That speaks volumes in my opinion, but also all their cables are made... Read

Just purchased my second instrument cable from Rattlesnake, another snake head in Sidewinder Red. I simply love everything about the product and the company. First, workmanship… you will not find a cable that looks better and provides the clearest single as these will. Not just new but two years down the road my first cable is my go-to for everything. Why a second cable? As my gear developed so did my needs. The snake head design is a must-have if you have high-end guitars and want to protect that investment! The ability to customize the configuration and connection choice makes the gear fit the way you envision it should. While all of this is great, Rattlesnake is a small company that takes pride not just in their products but in customer service. I have reached out to them with cable ideas and they helped guide me… before a sale was made. This might be the strongest kudos I can give that they understand what customer service is all about. Don’t buy cables from anyone else. Rattlesnake is home!

That speaks volumes in my opinion, but also all their cables are made to order in Montana, fast shipping, outstanding packaging, and fantastic customer service. I used my new Rattlesnake cables last night for a gig at a local club, they did the job and are an impressive sight as well. I don't have to worry about these cables.
