We are now offering a custom cable loom service. Being asked many times if we make looms, which we have unofficially have been building cable looms for guitar players over the last couple of years. Cable looms are a great solution where you need to run 3 to 4 cables back to the amp, such as the effects loop and main signal cable. By consolidating them in one loom, your tear-down and setup are much faster than individually uncoiling those cables.

Our cable looms use a wider diameter weave to accept up to 4 non-weaved (bare) cables. We use a tie-down system internally and then finish the weave with our attractive 2.75" thick piece of velcro with our custom riveted leatherette badges. This system will allow you to make adjustments down the road and is very versatile.

Since each loom system is so custom, we are providing this as a "product" here; you will need to submit a custom cable request to move forward since there will be some back and forth on your requirements.

Information we will need:

1. How many cables are you needing?
2. What are the lengths for the cable set?
3. What are the plug configurations for all cables.
4. What are the break-out points? - Distance the loom stops at the pedalboard end AND the break-out point on the amp side.

How much does this cost?

The pricing will be based on the cables needed within the loom and there is a $35-$45 loom fee.

What Musicians Are Saying About Their Custom Looms

We’ve built hundreds of custom looms tailored to each player’s unique rig — and the feedback speaks for itself. Here’s what fellow musicians are saying about their experience, from the build quality and tone to how much easier setup and teardown has become. If you're on the fence, see how real players are using their custom loom on stage, in the studio, and on the road.

The Rattlesnake loom has really cleaned up the stage area with less cables to run.

How long will the design phase take?

Typically, the process can take a few minutes, but it's largely dependent on you getting us the details for the loom. Once we get the information, we will draft a loom diagram quickly with a link to the purchase.

How long will the build take?

We pride ourselves on building our cables quickly and getting them into your hands. Depending on the complexity of your loom, it may take 1-3 days to ship. Oftentimes, we ship on the same day!

What kind of cables can be in the loom?

We offer a wide variety of cables that can be included in your loom. We can even include cables that are not listed on the site. Most loom builds use standard unbalanced/mono cables, but we can add power, TRS, XLR, MIDI, CAT5/EtherCon, etc.

Are there length limitations?

The length of the custom cable loom is based on your requirements. We've made very long looms for professional-level stage set up to very manageable rig lengths for the home studio, etc.

What happens if I need to make a change/adjustment to the loom in the future?

We don't like the shrink tube method of sealing up the loom. All sorts of issues make it difficult to make adjustments. We use a Velcro/Zip Tie method, allowing you to make adjustments if needed.

How to identify the cables?

We can do a variety of methods, from lasered leatherette badges to colored shrink tubes to different color cable PVCs.

What loom weave is available?

We have a variety of loom weaves in stock and have a few in rotation. Black, Snake Weave and Red are always available.

How important are the breakouts?

The point of the breakouts is to easily reach your jacks WHILE not straining the plugs and jacks. It's always better to go long vs. short.

Yes, you can get a cheaper cable that you probably can't hear a difference between in a double blind test. But I keep on buying my cables from Rattlesnake. Here's why. They actually have real human support; often you're talking directly with the owner. They think hard about design and durability. For example, on principle, they don't sell Y-cables, which are fragile. Instead sell rugged splitter boxes. Another example is their "snakehead" cable to avoid wearing out your guitar finish. When you buy from Rattlesnake, you are directly supporting US manufacturing and employees. Most products have a true lifetime warranty. And the protective wrap on their cables is really durable and comes in a nice assortment of colors.

As a contract musician who sometimes plays several different venues a week, continually unwrapping and wrapping cords can cause disfigurement over time, so I opted to go with a heavier duty cable. A reputable bass player on a popular bass forum recommended Rattlesnake Cables for their build quality and durability, so I decided to give them a look. First impressions are important and I loved their web store layout. A minimal amount of clicking brought me where I wanted to be and I was able to customize what I wanted. Checkout was a breeze. Easy peasy. The quick shipping kind of caught me off-guard, but was welcomed. When the box arrived a couple of days later, I opened it to discover my cables in a cool bag and a personal note and autographed paper pad as well. I wasted no time in putting my new 10' cable through the paces as I had a gig that evening and am happy to report the cable is solid as a rock and I can see why it comes with a lifetime guarantee. It's made for whatever kind of abuse you want to give it. I suspect it'll be much easier to lose it or have it stolen than it will be for it to quit working one day. Now I've owned good cables before, but I've never received the level of customer support as I did with this purchase. Not only did I get a personalized email from Hank asking how my purchase experience was, but the next morning when I come dragging in from my gig, there was a personalized video from him in my email inbox. To me, that in itself personifies what a great company would do to make sure they had a satisfied customer base. From this point forward, all my cables will be Rattlesnakes.
