We are proud to announce the Rattlesnake Cable Company Line Buffer. A line buffer is a utility tool to change the impedance of the signal coming in and allow for a low-impedance signal going out. What this does is counter the muddy/dark tone with long cable runs (due to cable capacitance) and maintain a great signal going into your pedals/amp. This buffer is also great to deal with some passive pedals with tone suck (i.e.: volume pedals, etc.)
You would normally run this as the first input on the pedalboard. Some pedals (for example - fuzz pedals) may or may not like a low impedance signal going to their input, so you may want to insert this after the fuzz depending on your taste/needs.
The Rattlesnake Cable Company buffer is an OpAmp-based buffer. There is an on/off true bypass toggle as well as a discreet LED indicator. All jacks and switches are mounted on one side of the unit for maximum options for placing the unit on or below your pedalboard. The enclosure is a small 3 5/8" x 1 1/2" enclosure with a black matte powder coat with laser engraved logo.
A buffer is to help restore frequency loss due to cable capacitance. As your cables lengths add up from guitar to board and board to amp, you may experience some high frequency loss in the chain. By adding a buffer, those frequencies are restored.
Typically, the buffer should be the first item after the instrument. But some users will try to find an ideal location within their pedal chain depending on what they prefer.
Some players do not like how certain fuzz pedals sound with a buffer before them. Some players like the 'bad sound'. You'll need to determine if signal is altered in a way that you don't like and position the buffer accordingly. Typically, the buffer should be first, but does not have to be.

Custom hand made in the USA to your spec's, their own USA milled copper conductors, your choice of length / jacks / colors / coverings.
Superior tone / sound quality. Like having an audio engineer in your gig bag cuz its Hanks own engineering & design.
Hank set out to build the best cable because he couldn't find what he wanted.
He suceeded. Look no further.
I run older analog pedals & vacuum tube amps, cheaper cables color my sound, loaded up impedance & darkened my tone with or w/o buffers.
Free flowing signals is where its at with good copper conductors & proper sheilding when needed.
Im hearing the amps & pedals at their full potential at last.
I retired my wireless.
Say goodbye to cheap-ass cables forever. Get sum -
Let me start with, these are freakin the Best Cables I have ever owned. The Snakehead not only sounds great, but it's indestructible. I've been using this cable to run my pedalboard to the amp and the white Coily Cord as my main guitar cord. Don't know what it is, but my sound w/the Coily cord just sounds tighter!
The other day my grandson stepped on the straight end coming out the pedalboard, unfortunately the jack was bent and broke the buffer bay input. The cable still worked, but I needed to have it fix. I emailed Hank, he quickly responded to send it back. As soon as he received it 3 days later - he repaired it and shipped back the same day. I also had him replace the straight jack with the right angle. Now that's killer customer service!
Thanks Hank

Customer service was top notch! Hank and the rattlesnake team are amazing! I have not came across another company that really puts their customers first! Hank sent me a welcome video and thanking me for my purchase. The special touches your company does make you stand out in the crowd!! Amazing all around!!
These cables are solid as hell! Real pro quality. The super beefy ends they use seem like they could take a beating, and they have multiple options. Awesome use of shrink wrap as well, gong over the jack housing and the cable ensuring no moisture is getting into the housing. They offer a cable that has the iconic rattlesnake wrap end about a foot before the end of the cable so if you thread your cable through your strap button so you don't get the weave against the finish on your guitar. (At least that's how i'm using mine). Hank has got his poop in a group and you'll see when you order yours. Every cable comes in a nice cloth bag and any junction boxes or buffers come in nice boxes too.
Thoughts about our Service:
Hank was very easy to work with. He usually messeged me within 5 minutes of an inquiry. I even fudged my order and he fixed it in a matter of minutes. My order arrived very quick as well.
What was purchased:
I have owned two instrument cables for a couple years and I would put them up against any rival out there. My most recent purchase included patch cables, a couple speaker cables, more instrument cables, and some junction boxes. (Would have order 2 buffer but they weren't in stock)

I could go over how everything I've used, from the instrument cables (don't sleep on the snake head), speaker cable, patches, and line buffer (AMAZING) have been everything from solidly constructed, top tier quality, and snazzy to boot. That said, I spent a week halfway across the country and was in a shop, and sure enough, they were carrying Rattlesnake too. It's not just me - the cat's out of the bag. You want these cables. The amount of customization not only is awesome to have, but just the ability really made me reconsider my board layout and helps not only with efficiency but also eliminates one more step in ensuring you're getting the tone you want out there.
Did I say anything about the best customer service I've experienced in the industry? Guess I did now.
I am astounded at the quality of Rattlesnake cables! I have been a pro or semi pro musician all of my life, and also operate my own personal recording studio. I have also done sound, worked for years in two of the nation's key music stores (the famed Lipham Music in Gainesville, FL, and the original Guitar Center on Van Ness in SF), worked stage security, and also been around the technical side of the music business on and off my whole life. In that entire time I have never before even *seen* cabling of this quality. I'm not sure what their cables' sheathing is made of, but it is obviously of the highest possible quality, and eminently cool! These are forever cables! They are also sonically ideal and *solidly* constructed, conveying and achieving utter reliability. I have bins and bins of cabling of every kind, many of which have broken at the plugs and even in the cable path, and I sincerely doubt these cables will ever become unreliable unless you use them for towing elephant trailers (and maybe not even then). I am a permanent customer of Rattlesnake products, and look forward to trying their line buffer as well. Even their packaging is impressive as heck! I hope they come out with a direct box!
Thoughts about our Service:
Rattlesnake's head honcho Hank personally exchanged a few emails and did one phone call with me (after hours)! He was extremely helpful and is obviously dedicated to the best of service as well as product. I will upload some pics in the next day or so when I'm not sweaty and grimy from working in the studio.
I found out about Rattlesnake cables hunting around for some info on Gearpage for my Marshall.
I started digging for more info on Rattlesnake Cables after reading a post about the company.
I read many reviews and watched a few YouTube videos being you just never know these days with everyone trying to make a fast dollar selling garbage product..

I was honestly a skeptic, and figured since I only use 10' cables for recording, cable quality would make little difference.
I always used cheap cables until I got tired of them failing on me and bought a 10' Rattlesnake cable and a couple of jumper patch cables for my effects loop. I was surprised to find that apparently my instrument cables had apparently been a significant noise source. The Rattlesnake cable was completely silent even with guitars I just thought had noisier pickups. In addition, the jumper cable I was using on my board apparently was draining quite a lot of high-end off, which I learned after swapping in one of the Rattlesnake jumpers.
I ended up with a second order to replace all the patch and jumper cables in my setup, and a spare 10' cable. My new setup clearly retains more top end and is more quiet than I thought was possible. I didn't play a lot of high gain before and just accepted the noise when I did, but even high gain is no problem now. I'm sold!

Yes, you can get a cheaper cable that you probably can't hear a difference between in a double blind test. But I keep on buying my cables from Rattlesnake. Here's why. They actually have real human support; often you're talking directly with the owner. They think hard about design and durability. For example, on principle, they don't sell Y-cables, which are fragile. Instead sell rugged splitter boxes. Another example is their "snakehead" cable to avoid wearing out your guitar finish. When you buy from Rattlesnake, you are directly supporting US manufacturing and employees. Most products have a true lifetime warranty. And the protective wrap on their cables is really durable and comes in a nice assortment of colors.
