It is very important to take care of your gear. The plugs on your cables are no exception. Over time, they can build up residue from sweat, beer, dirt, and whatever is happening in the venue you're playing at. This residue can impact the level of contact with the internal jacks of the instrument, pedals, or amps. Interruption to the signal can mean cutting out or adding noise to your signal. It's important to clean these plugs from time to time.
Our favorite means of cleaning plugs is using a product called Deoxit and a microfiber cloth. Spray some on the cloth and wipe the plugs until they are shiny again. Deoxit is a contact cleaner that is absolutely essential for players wanting to stay on top of their gear. Great for plugs, jacks, pots, or anything that needs a cleaning. It's chemically designed to remove the debris and quickly dry. We absolutely love using it here at the shop!
The Plug Cleaning Kit will come with a can of Deoxit DN5S (40G can), a Rattlesnake Cable Company Case Cloth, and a small muslin bag to hold it all together. This is a great addition to your road case.

We take great pride that our custom instrument, XLR, and speaker cables are milled in the United States. All of our milled cables are built to our specifications here in the states and then soldered by hand in Missoula, Montana, by our great team!
