I'm not a fan of Y-Cables. They have a tendency to fail, and you are stuck with the length you get. We get asked about Y-Cables often, and I always recommend a Mono to Dual Mono Splitter

With a Mono to Dual Mono Splitter, you have maximum durability at the Y connection - often used as a guitar cord splitter. It will hold up, where a Y will slowly start to get stressed. Additionally, you have the flexibility. You can put long Mono Cables, or use Patch Cables, you're not stuck - and since application requirements often change as you change, it's nice to have options

Q: Why don't you sell Y cables?

Answer

Y cables, by design, cannot handle heavy strain, and the probability of failure is high. That's the number one complaint. The second issue is that you're stuck with whatever length the Y cable is set. As you requirements change, you may need shorter cables from the junction, or a longer cable for the primary TRS or Mono cable. With a TRS to Dual Mono Splitter or Mono to Dual Mono Splitter, you have a solid connection for the junction. You have the flexibility to swap out cables down the road.

You will need 3x Mono instrument cables - either patch cables or instrument cables (depending on the lengths).

I placed an order for 2 cables, both the snake head version. One in red the other in their limited Oxblood. Both 15'. Already had a standard in Dirty Tweed that I got at Christmas and have been using exclusively. The sound from these gives more depth, clarity and range not found anywhere else. I couldn't believe what a difference a cable could make. I got the Oxblood for my bass and the red for guitars. These are the only cables I will use now. Others have been retired. They came fast, within 2 days. Got a personal thank you video from owner, thanks Hank, something I have never gotten from any other company. Let me know when build was started and when order went in mail. They are first class all the way. Came with box full of goodies, each in it's own drawstring bag (cool!) And a note pad with personal thank you note on front page. This is the best thing you can ever do for your guitar(s) and amp(s)!! Nothing better! Customer service was great, fast and personal. Absolutely the BEST service I have ever seen in a musical equipment company. If I could give 6 stars I would! I have ordered a total of 8 cable looms from these guys, and the quality of the products I received from Rattlesnake Cable exceeded my expectations in every way. Super quiet cables with quality construction and pro connectors. I submitted a request for a cable loom that was somewhat complicated, and next thing I know I get a call from Hank at Rattlesnake giving me advice on a better way to design and build the cable. Brilliant! Once I got his advice, it became obvious that he knew what he was doing. The new design was a huge improvement and met my needs perfectly. How great is that??? The shipping was so fast. They built my looms and shipped them in record time. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but these guys totally deserve it. Don't waste your money and time with anyone else. Seriously. Just order from Rattlesnake and relax. It will be done right the first time and will exceed expectations.
