Our Retro Coily Cable - which we feel is the best coily cable on the market. Over the years, we have been asked many times, "When are you going to put out a coily cable?" Well, the time is now! We worked with our US-based cable mill to manufacture these great-looking matte PVC guitar coily cables. These coiled cables are designed to provide that "vintage" style tone - slightly darker but not too dark. These are all 25' long (the length of cable before the coiling process) and 45" (4 feet) retracted.

All of our Coily Cables come with our pro-grade Neutrik Plugs in either nickel or upgraded gold finish. These are designed to have an amazing retro look while maintaining durability and signal quality!

What's the point of coiled cables?

Coily guitar and instrument cables are designed to address a few factors
- Eliminating bunched-up cable at the player's feet. Typically, long straight cables would bunch up. Now you can have basically the equivalent of 25' and have it retract and extend as you move around.
- With coily cables, you can purposely shave off some high-end harshness by adding a little capacitance to the signal chain
- Dare I say - they look very cool. If you're looking for a particular stage "vibe", this might be the cable for you!

Do coiled cables affect tone?

Yes, the longer lengths do add capacitance, which can make the signal darker. However, artists such as Reeves Gabrels (Bowie/The Cure) and Jimi Hendrix used this as part of their magic-tone sauce.

Is it bad to fully stretch a coily cable?

Yes, you do not want to stretch the cable to the max. That can stretch out the coils and may retract less. Likewise, do not hang your cables on a cable rack, etc.

The other day my grandson stepped on the straight end coming out the pedalboard, unfortunately the jack was bent and broke the buffer bay input. The cable still worked, but I needed to have it fix. I emailed Hank, he quickly responded to send it back. As soon as he received it 3 days later - he repaired it and shipped back the same day. I also had him replace the straight jack with the right angle. Now that's killer customer service! Thanks Hank

Rattlesnake coils. How could you go wrong? I have always loved vintage coiled cables. Unfortunately, they are not made very well for the most part. The Rattlesnake coils are unbelievable. I can't believe how much they weigh. And you can tell the wire is great quality and will last a really long time. I play mostly at home and while moving around to program tones and presets in my pedalboard, regular cables always seem to get in the way. They get caught on things and get tangled. These coils are strong and bounce back from 10' or more nicely. I got one in green and one in red. The connectors are solid and strong too. The quality of the sound from my guitar is exponentially better than just about all my other cables and I have at least one that cost more than these. They are obviously the same quality as my other 2 Rattlesnake cables but they put all the others to shame.

This is an easy 5 stars! Hank and the team are fantastic to deal with; great communication, excellent customer service, and super fast shipping. I purchased their Rattlesnake instrument cables, and they've improved my tone more than my Mogami Platinum's. As soon as I plugged in my Rattlesnake's, I immediately noticed a more articulate drive tone without any added brightness. Now I only use these cables. I have since made more purchases from Hank, and every time they treat me like a VIP. Their customer service is second to none. Great cables, great company, great guy in Hank.

Best speaker cables I have ever purchased. I’ve used cables from most of the major manufacturers found in the big box stores and those carried by my local mom and pop music stores (which are usually the same). Rattlesnake speaker cables are simply of higher quality in terms of craftsmanship. At 12 awg with beefy connectors and rubberized covers, last cables I’ll ever need. From a sound perspective, I noticed a bit more crispness, a little subjective but my ears don’t lie. If you can wait a few days, order these and know you are getting the best on the market, custom ordered lengths did not slow shipment and I am no longer sending my signal through unnecessary wire and resistance. In addition to the quality, I must comment on service, simply put there isn’t another company who will provide the level of customer service as Hank and the team at Rattlesnake, they blew me away with their attention to care and detail. Every customer is equally important from large to small. Packaging is unbelievable and I don’t sense I paid extra for it, or the personalized attention. They have earned my business for life and I am now regretting I didn’t find them sooner…all my other cables seem inferior now. Don’t hesitate, just buy from Rattlesnake and be done, you won’t regret it.
