Celebrating 14 Years of Rattlesnake

Fourteen years ago, we decided to make things official.

2012 was the year I purchased the domain name, finalized the logo, and took the first real steps toward building what would become Rattlesnake Cable Company.

As we celebrate our 14th anniversary, I wanted to take a moment to look back. For some of you, our story might be new.

Like a lot of builders, I didn't start with cables.

I was working in web development, spending my days writing code. My work lived on a hard drive. At first, that was exciting, but over time something was missing. I had a growing appreciation for people who built real things. Things you could hold. Things that solved problems. Things that helped other people make music.

I remember talking with Amy, my wife, business partner, and best friend, about the idea of building guitar cables.

Let's be honest. Cables aren't usually the exciting purchase.

But what if they could be?

What if we built cables that looked different, lasted longer, sounded great, and came with customer service people actually remembered?

That conversation in our bedroom became the beginning of Rattlesnake.

The journey from that small room to where we are today has been full of challenges, victories, setbacks, and plenty of moments where we wondered what came next. Through it all, Amy and I have always believed in showing up, doing the work, and taking the next step.

One cable at a time.

Fourteen years later, that commitment hasn't changed.

We still handcraft every cable. We still answer the phone. We still believe customer service matters. And we're incredibly grateful that you've chosen to support a small business in Montana.
