"Snake Head," as we like to call them, is a cable with the heat and abrasion-resistant sleeving stopping short at the end connecting to the instrument. This technique leaves a portion of raw cable touching the instrument, perfect for wrapping around guitar straps. Our TRS (Stereo / Balanced) Snake Head Instrument Cables come in 10', 15', and 20' lengths. Each cable can have a straight, right angle or a mix of TRS Neutrik Gold plugs - be sure to select the proper plug style connecting to the instrument.
Snake Heads are ideal for connecting your instrument to a pedalboard or directly to the amp. Suppose you're looking for a cable connecting from pedalboard to amp. In that case, we recommend our Standard Instrument Cable - where the weaving fully covers the cable from plug end to plug end.
Our TRS Snake Head is ideal for Rick-O-Sound setups or guitars that have a stereo output jack for Piezo/Magnetic pickup combinations. Please be aware that this is a Balanced or Stereo cable. If you're looking for an unbalanced mono Snake Head, please view our Snake Head Instrument Cable.

I’ve now purchased four rattlesnake cables (one I bought as a gift for a friend). I just got a new bass and the input is where I would prefer a straight plug. I already have a rattlesnake with two straight plugs but that one is for playing out because it’s 15' and I prefer 10' at home. It’s really fun picking color and plug options! They sound excellent, they’re really not that expensive, and it feels good to buy American made :)
