Our XLR cable uses our dual conductor cable milled in the United States. All XLRs use Neutrik Pro-Grade Nickel or Black Shells and are available with weave or no-weave if preferred. Rattlesnake Cable Company XLR cables are great for studio application and live stages. Weaving allows for a great opportunity to color-code cables and adds additional protection. Our primary instrument, speaker, XLR, TRS, and Flex patch cables are built using Rattlesnake-brand bulk cable that is custom manufactured for us in the United States. We developed the specifications for each cable based on the flexibility, durability, handling, and electrical performance we wanted. It is not off-the-shelf Belden, Mogami, Canare, or another manufacturer’s finished cable covered with an outer weave.After the bulk cable is manufactured to our specifications, every finished cable is cut, sleeved, soldered, tested, and packaged by our team in Missoula, Montana.
Some specialized products use third-party bulk cable when it is the best fit for that application. When they do, we identify the cable manufacturer and model in the product’s Specifications tab.
Complete construction and electrical details, including conductor material, wire gauge, capacitance, shielding, and cable diameter, are provided in the Specifications section of each applicable product page.

No. The contacts are the same for either style of Neutrik plugs. This is strictly a cosmetic preference. There is a higher purchase cost for us on the black.Answer
Absolutely, just fill out a custom build request. It's important to note that the longest length with weave is 30', but we can make longer XLR cables without weave (bare) at any length desired.Answer
The weave is a poly-weave, meaning it's a plastic polymer-based weave. We use a variety of brands, but primarily TechFlex. It's designed to be heat and abrasion resistant. It is not a cloth/fabric weave, which tends to fray and stain easily.

I received my Snake Woven Instrument cables this past week and I was blown away with the attention to detail, just in the packaging. I felt like I was receiving a gift, with the way it was wrapped up, I was left a branded notepad and the cables came in a really nice branded cloth bag. My package also arrived sooner than I expected. Pulling the cables out, the amazing build quality, tough and sturdy. Plugged in, the clarity of sound and the snake weave are awesome and look great on stage! I was even more sold, when my engineer at my show, thought he saw a snake move! Score! Best speaker cables I have ever purchased. I’ve used cables from most of the major manufacturers found in the big box stores and those carried by my local mom and pop music stores (which are usually the same). Rattlesnake speaker cables are simply of higher quality in terms of craftsmanship. At 12 awg with beefy connectors and rubberized covers, last cables I’ll ever need. From a sound perspective, I noticed a bit more crispness, a little subjective but my ears don’t lie. If you can wait a few days, order these and know you are getting the best on the market, custom ordered lengths did not slow shipment and I am no longer sending my signal through unnecessary wire and resistance. In addition to the quality, I must comment on service, simply put there isn’t another company who will provide the level of customer service as Hank and the team at Rattlesnake, they blew me away with their attention to care and detail. Every customer is equally important from large to small. Packaging is unbelievable and I don’t sense I paid extra for it, or the personalized attention. They have earned my business for life and I am now regretting I didn’t find them sooner…all my other cables seem inferior now. Don’t hesitate, just buy from Rattlesnake and be done, you won’t regret it.
