Pro Patch Cable

The Pro Patch uses the same spec cable as our instrument cables and uses high-quality RCC Right Angle GGN (Gold) plugs. Due to the thicker cable diameter (.280"), the cables will come in the following lengths - 8", 10" and 12". Note, if flexibility is a concern, we recommend our Flex-Patch.

When people read that, the first assumption is that the copper is somehow 'air tight'. Nope. OFBC is part of the smelting process where the oxygen molecules are smelted out or removed to a point where it's below .001%. This makes a very pure copper allowing for great conductivity.

We have a variety of wire mills that we work with. All of the wire mills we work with our in the United States. We take extreme pride that our cable is milled in the United States and hand assembled here in Missoula, Montana.

Typically, cable capacitance is an issue with longer runs so it's not really an issue with patch cables.

Unfortunately, no. The Pro Patch uses our standard instrument cable and that cable diameter is too large to securely mount our pancake plugs.

Stubby straights are great for switching systems or with pedals that have narrow jack placement. The Stubby Straight has a shorter barrel (1.05") length.

U-Config is the default standard where plugs are facing the same direction. This is ideal for pedals next to each other with jacks on the side. If you have a situation where one pedal has side jacks and the pedal next to it has top mounted jacks - the S-Config fits great. Also, if you require a long patch from one pedal on a bottom row to a pedal on the top row on the opposite side, a S-Config would work great.

The weave is a poly-weave, meaning it's a plastic polymer-based weave. We use a variety of brands, but primarily TechFlex. It's designed to be heat and abrasion resistant. It is not a cloth/fabric weave, which tends to fray and stain easily.

Ordering was straight forward, communication was absolutely above and beyond, I was immediately notified that they started building my order a few minutes after placing it, I was notified when they finished and packaged it shortly after, and they shipped it immediately after that, and it got to me in a couple days. One of, if not, the most well packaged parcel I've ever recieved. The cable I received is exceptional, it's sturdy but flexible, looks great, the plugs are solidly and cleanly attached. Much more room in the treble range, and the bass range is way cleaner from the improvement of capacitance coming from the standard cables I was using before. I 10/10 recommend Rattlesnake Cables, and fully intend on converting all of my cables to theirs.

Let me tell you about one of the best days of my LIFE! I have always been a HUGE fan of Rattlesnake Cables since the day a group I was recording came in, and showed me the new cables they had just got. They felt amazing, and they told me they had stood up to all of their shows and everything they had done to that point, and it didn't hurt that it looked good to boot! So after a little research, I ordered my very first cable from them to give it a run, and see how it stood up to the rigors of everyday studio use. To my absolute thrill, it took all the beatings and then some! I still use that cable to this day on every recording that comes thru my studio! So how does this involve my best day ever you ask? Let's just say that from that day forward I had become a bit of a "fanboy" about Rattlesnake Cables. So fast forward a number of years later, and was building a new pedal board for the studio, and I saw on their Instagram that they had started making patch cables. Knowing how great my other cables of theirs had stood the test of time, and not wanting to redo the board every year to replace beat-down cables, I thought it would be worth every penny to get the best available. So I go on their website, select the pack that worked best, and as I was checking out, I saw a new option for pickup, instead of delivery. Well, being extremely blessed that they are located so close, I chose the pickup option to maybe save a couple of bucks. So within hours, Hank Donovan, the owner, and creator of Rattlesnake cables called me personally, to let me know the cables had been made and were ready for pickup. So I went in the following day to pick them up, and I honestly couldn't believe the person to come and meet me at the top of the stairs to hand me my new cables, was Hank himself! I did my best not to fanboy out, but failed miserably as the first words to fall out of my mouth were "It's an honor to meet you"... and only got worse from there. Then Hank offered to give a guided tour of their new building, and I'm pretty sure I blacked out after that because I had died and gone to heaven. Best. Day. EVER! Needless to say, I will use and recommend Rattlesnake cables from now till the day I die. And when it come to re-cabling my recording desk and everything in the studio, I will trust no one, but Rattlesnake cables. Do yourself a favor, invest in things that last, and work as they always should. Rattlesnake cables are the choice for anyone who is serious about their sound. You're welcome.
