The build quality and construction of these cables are amazing. I brought them into band practice and showed the guys and they usually use what ever is cheap to get by. After they seen felt and played through them they too were sold. So now my band members want their own. I'd highly recommend this fine product to anyone who is looking for a high quality cable.

So I've got a passive Bass Guitar. (Chapman MLB-1, first version) I was told a low capacitance cable would help the upper mids/high mids of my sound. Well it did more than that. I think of it like this. My old "higher capacitance" cable would alter my sound....like changing the harmonic structure so you just get used to how it sounds. You think that it's just fine. You read reviews and hear of some bass players who are satisfied with their old mid-priced high capacitance cable and other bass players who try out a low capacitance cable and rave about the sound. So I said to myself...... years ago I changed the speaker wire in my hi-fi sound system to what is now known as OCC copper wire and it transformed my sound system. I looked at the guitar cables that state that they make their cables from OCC copper and their prices are very high and don't have any STYLE! So I thought trying something mid-priced in the guitar cable range and low capacitance at that, would be worth a try. So I got a 20 footer from Rattlesnake Cable Co. I'd describe it like this: my bass overtones were realigned and made more clear. Yes I hear a big difference with my passive bass sound. Not so much in the volume going up but in the clarity of the attack and the structure of the sound. It's more clear, well defined, better attack, more satisfying. Am looking to buying more Rattlesnake cables in the near future. Even my mother's ears with hearing aids heard a difference! Oh yeah and I love the snake head end style as it connects to my bass too!

Then, I got a couple Speaker Cables. I LOVE these cables. The tone is true and they are durable.... plus, they look really cool. But, the test is in the tone. Have you ever wondered what happens when you give an expensive guitar cable to a class of 8th grade age wannabe rock stars learning to play electric guitar? It either winds up misplaced, misused or completely broken. I have had other brands cables used to lasso another student, used as a tarzan swing, used as door stops and sometimes used to connect a guitar to an amp. Needless to say some cables don't hold up more than one or two weeks of use and abuse. That is until I tried the Rattlesnake brand of cables. First they are really cool looking and neat to an 8th grade mind. Most importantly they are durable and can withstand the constant abuse that a 13 year old rock guitar student can dish out. I cannot recommend them any higher than that! They are still in use and have beat all of my current brands (Monster, Planet Waves and Mogami) hands down. I am slowly replacing my entire stock of instrument, speaker, and mic cables with Rattlesnake brand cables at our Academy of Fine Arts located in Plano Texas.

Over the years I’ve ordered many products from Hank and will continue to do so and suggest his Cables to colleagues. I don’t often “unofficially” endorse products but his are worthy of praise. Everything is built to order with impeccable attention to detail using quality stuff (these cables honestly hold their own against many more expensive industry options that don’t have the same cool aesthetic nor the high level of personalized service). I have yet to experience a single issue and have no doubt that Hank and co wouldn’t stand behind the products should they fail. The Cables look and sound great and hold up to gigging, practicing and session work. I get lots of compliments from other musicians, sound engineers, friends/family, and even audience members on the cables. I liked the cables so much that I’ve even added his buffer to my pedalboard. The weaves not only look cool and offer an added layer of protection but help make it easy for me to identify my gear (which I find crucial when gigging during setup/tear down, no more missing/lost/stolen cables). And if you are into swag the t shirts are comfy and are a great way to promote the brand. It’s only a matter of time until I start weeding out my old mic cables in favor of some nicely weaved new mic cables from Rattlesnake. If you’ve got a musician in your life these would also make a spectacular gift especially with the tin, Hank really goes above and beyond in the packing and presentation dept.
