First, a little background. I am a student of Tony Polecastro's Acoustic Challenge. Every Tuesday, Tony does a 30-45 min. technical show on gear. On a recent show, he mentioned how good Rattlesnake cables were, and based upon that recommendation, I took a chance and ordered a Rattlesnake cable in the rattlesnake colors. Wow! Not only is the cable tank proof, but the colors match my new Mule Mavis resophonic guitar (see attached picture). Also matches both my Fishman Artist Amp (for acoustics) and Amya Fender IV Blues Jr. (for electric guitars). Ascetically pleasing, built for endurance, and options for 1/4" plugs will give you whatever you need. I am almost one year getting back into guitar, and when I first started, I bought cables in the 20-30 range expecting acceptable performance. WRONG! Now what I am left with are cables that tangle easily, won't stand up to any kind of abuse, and now have 1/4" plugs. So. if you want cheap cables, buy cheap cables again and again. But if you want quality with a ton of choices in color and plugs, give Rattlesnake a try. I did, and now they have a new customer for all my cable needs. I bought a similar-looking cable for my new Trumpet Ear Microphone ( I bought the Delphina model) and another recommendation from Tony P0lecastro. This cabled is attractive and robust but nowhere in the quality range of a Rattlesnake cabled for the same $$$$. The first words out of my wife's mouth were, "Wow! I've never seen such a beautiful cable. I agree with her 100% and will be going back to rattlesnake cables for my future needs and will be recommending them to all my friends. Hope this was helpful for your selection of a musical cable. You get what you pay for. I would rather pay once for years to come vs. buy another cheap cable every two months! Mike Hobbs P.S. After spending hours reading about the lowest-capacitance cables available I decided that ultra-low capacitance wasn’t as much of a priority to me as USA-milled copper wire and the best possible customer experience. Hank is doing it the right way, folks - the cables are beautifully crafted, and I love the western aesthetic. and they are as low capacitance and "techy" as I need.
