Tracking an idea with a Rattlesnake Cable, then playing with another cable and watching the EQ reading. I'm not Grammy winning engineer, but holy **** can you feel it. Since then I've bought another 2 cables for my pedalboards to amps, and I've removed the buffer on my pedalboard as i no longer need it.
