I have been searching for the be all - end all guitar cable for years, and been through so many big name cables it borders on insanity. A few weeks ago I began searching for a cable with very low capacitance, that was built like a tank and was sold at a reasonable price point. I was ready to order from another company when my bandmate sent me a text and asked if I had heard of Rattlesnake literally the day I had planned on placing an order with the other company. After some consideration what really sold me on giving Rattlesnake a shot was the Snake head cables. I have three USA Guild Acoustic/Electric Guitars with Nitro finishes and a brand new PRS Pauls Guitar and I do like to wrap my cable between my strap and the guitar while playing. Being able to protect those finishes with the Snake head Cable was what tipped the scale for me. I have had my cables for a week and played one show with them and all I can say is Rattlesnake cables are among the finest build quality I have experienced in 30 years of playing. The coating on the cables is absolutely brilliant and keeps the cable from knotting up on the floor which I love. The "Sound" of the cable - in my opinion is absolutely pristine and clear as a bell and I could not be happier with these cables. If you are on the fence about which cable to buy, do not hesitate for one-second place your order with Rattlesnake these are among the best of the best and at a reasonable price point. P.S. - the customer service is absolutely the best and cannot be topped by any other company, and it is not even close!

This is where Hank Donovan and Rattlesnake excels over other manufacturers by a factor so large it could not possibly be measured. I placed my order at 2:27 p.m and had a notification of shipment by 4:41 that same day. The following morning I received a personalized video message from Hank thanking me for my order. In 30 years I have never received that kind of customer appreciation or service and it has made me a Rattlesnake customer for life.

I've purchased similar cables in the past from another maker... that has custom ends as a main selling point... they were fine. I didn't think I needed another cable, but I kept seeing ads for Rattlesnake on Facebook, and recently they had a special run of the Ash color. I'd recently changed amps from a 2 channel that used a 2 cable snake between my board and amp for the channel switch to a single channel; because of my low-level OCD having a different color instrument to board cable and board to amp cable just wouldn't do! I pulled the trigger on 2 Snake heads in Ash. Hank and company shipped the cables out the same day and they arrived in time for my next gig, I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED WITH A PRODUCT OR A COMPANY! The cables arrived with a few goodies in the box, cloth bags, and cable wraps. The Snake head option is DEFINITELY worth it and a nice touch! the Ash color is wonderfully unique and speaking of nice touches- the "Rattlesnake Cable Company" branding woven into the outer wrap is subtle and very well done.

Over the last couple of years, all of my band mates have switched over to Rattlesnake cords and they all love them as well. We especially love the snake-head cords for our guitars. They bend easily and can't recommend them enough! We all got different color cords so it makes it easy at the end of a late-night gig to make sure that we're taking home the correct cords. Packaging was solid, box goodies were a nice surprise too. The cable was visually striking, the tangerine color with the white shrink tubes matches my Orange IR15 as a bonus, it was neatly coiled inside of a drawstring bag, has a nice stiffness to it without feeling brittle, the tubing around the plugs is neatly applied and the subtle logos look nice too. The plugs themselves feel secure and well seated. No extra noise or feedback when I plugged in and played for a couple of hours, didn't hinder my movement or really get in my way. When I was done it coiled up neatly without resistance for storage. Hank and the Rattlesnake team were communicative and courteous, it was a pleasure doing business with them. I felt like a significantly valued customer, regardless of my humble 10ft cable order. Many years ago now I met Hank Donovan on the guitar forums on Farcebook. he was always an ace dude, and when I found out about his product, I was intrigued. As a professional musician, I really wanted to check it out, but the higher price kept me at bay... a false economy triggered by stupidity. recently, Rattlesnake was having a sale, so I decided to try one. it was a class act all the way as an experience, including some unexpected perks like messages to let me know my cable was in process, and even a video from hank thanking me for my purchase. it arrived a couple days later in a nice hemp stash bag, and MAN! this sucker is INDESTRUCTABLE. even my 400 lb ass standing on the thing won't crush it's protective sheathing. the ends are SOLID and perfectly protected with shrink wrap. the bare end for the guitar is a great touch, as its way more flexible than the sheathed part of the cable. tonally it's very clear sounding, with a nice phase alignment.... ie, the bass/mids/trebs all seem equal and balanced which can be a hat trick with any cable... often they suck highs or lose lows. this thing sounds great. every aspect of the deal was pretty sweet. the cable may have SEEMED expensive, BUT IN REALITY it's gonna outlast every other cable I've ever owned, I can tell already... hell, I paid more for a monster cable in the past that never made it 10 years before screwing up. I've gone thru probably a thousand dollars of cables over the last couple decades... but this cable will likely last me MY last couple decades. I chose the rattlesnake cover personally, cuz it was so dang cool looking but they have all kinds of other covers you can choose. factor in the custom shop aspect where you can choose your options, and this may well be the finest cable monger on the entire earth.
