I've seen the ads for Rattlesnake in my FB feed for quite a while but hadn't been playing much. When i did fire my rig up recently i discovered a bad cable so i thought I'd give Rattlesnake a try. I'm pretty picky about cables and hate cheap junk ca les but I'm also budget conscious and don't want to pay for hype - i believe in paying fair prices for high quality, well built products. First off the customer service with Rattlesnake is top notch. They are very communicative about your order status and they are FAST! For both of my recent orders they were under way the day i ordered and i believe both shipped the very next day. The product comes in nice packaging with some cool "candy" like stickers, a note pad, etc and a personal thank you note from the company owner. Really just stellar old fashioned customer sercice that is a dying art these days! OK so what you really care about - the product and its value. I absolutely love these cables! I have now ordered 2 custom spec'd "snakehead" 20' instrument cables. They came properly customized as ordered and the build quality is outstanding - super clean and just top notch in every detail. The cable's tonal properties are crystal clear with zero issues and sound as good as any of my best high end cables for which i paid more. So the bottom line for me is that, while Rattlesnake cables may not appear to some to be priced "cheap" they are such a high quality product that they really ARE cheap relative to what you get! I feel they are priced VERY fairly - great "bang for the buck" - and now that i own a few I'd honestly say I would (and have in the past) pay even more for this quality of a product... don't tell Hank! ;) So the bottome line here is that IMO this is a killer, top quality product from a company that offers genuinely excellent customer service all at a very reasonable price. I will be buying more Rattlesnake gear and I'd very highly recommend them to anyone who cares about their tone and wants the best you can get without breaking the bank.

There has much discussion on whether cables make that big of a difference to the sound. I play with "doubters", in fact, at times. There is NO DOUBT that Rattlesnake Cables make a huge difference in the entire sound spectrum of my instrument. The lows, as I play bass, are so clean and tight and beautiful, that I would be reluctant to go up the neck, but the highs are so crystal and percussive, unlike any cable I have played, that the entire instrument has a new life! I am definitely looking forward to getting speaker cables. I'd be crazy not to!

In sum, I am grateful for these high quality cable options--your flex patches and coiled cables have helped me seriously clean up my pedalboard with respect to signal-to-noise ratio. Moreover, because these cables add essentially zero noise (especially important for the longer guitar to amp/efx pedals), I can also use them to troubleshoot pedal board organization and to find noisy pedals. I do have a couple issues. The first being somewhat minor: I've nearly slipped on the abrasion resistant snake head weave. Due to the weave material (which contributes to the abrasion resistance I imagine), the cable is very slippery on wood flooring. The second issue being with the pancake flex cables--these simply do not work with stereo input/outputs. The connections are too wide. I understand that the other options exist. Unfortunately, none of these options fit through the slots in my pedal board. The latter not being much of an issue. Perhaps more specs regarding sizes would help.

When I converted the entire, signal chain of my guitar, ('54 epiphone, devon, played through '65 bandmaster), to Rattlesnake cables, I had to turn down! I not shitting you. The signal, was so much more efficient, I needed to bump down a bit. Plus, with the shielding on the cable, can handle all the abuse a gigging musician can throw at it. Beer - cowboy boot, heels - carelessly coiling it up, drunk, at 2 a.m. They're great! And they look great too. I've had mine for years - as have, all of my band mates - and they're flawless.
