I used to believe that as long as cables were built well, they were all basically the same. I didn't have Mog***I or any crazy big names, but my cables were decent and that seemed fine.
Then I bought 2 Snakehead instrument cables, a speaker cable, and an IEC cables from Rattlesnake and took them to the studio. Swapping those 4 cables...and doing nothing else...showed a -2db drop in the noise floor on my rig. An SM57 into a preamp into a DAW, with digital metering, does not lie or exaggerate. My rig shed -2db of noise just by adding 4 Rattlesnake cables! Once I picked my jaw up off the control room floor, I ordered Ultraflex cables to repatch my pedalboard with.
The following weekend, my band Trash Diva played the annual MacRock fest. Bands we've known for years and played with many times complimented my tone and the clarity of my sound for the first time ever. Friends, I'm the same player I always was, the only thing that changed was Rattlesnake Cables.
I used to believe that all cables were basically the same, but after using them live and in the studio, the only thing I believe about cables now is that mine are going to come exclusively from Rattlesnake.

The other day my grandson stepped on the straight end coming out the pedalboard, unfortunately the jack was bent and broke the buffer bay input. The cable still worked, but I needed to have it fix. I emailed Hank, he quickly responded to send it back. As soon as he received it 3 days later - he repaired it and shipped back the same day. I also had him replace the straight jack with the right angle. Now that's killer customer service!

Hank is awesome. I sent an email with a question on a Sunday night, and it was answered by 7:00 am the next day (I'm in CST so they was 5:00 am to him. I ordered it Monday and it was delivered on Wednesday. Unbelievable how fast it got here.

I ordered a 20' TRS gold snake head rattle snake cable with gold jacks. Also ordered a TRS to Dual Mono splitter Box for my Rickenbacker 4003 bass. Eliminating the "Y" cable that I had for years that I bought for my Rickenbacker 4001 I back in 1979.
