I chose one angled plug and one straight, since my bass pickup output plug is out front right under the bass bridge a straight plug lets the cable hang out away from the bass making it vulnerable to someone either tangling in the cable or catching the plug when walking in front of me for whatever reason. So the angled plug and stiff cable housing allow me to keep everything close to or under the bass when connected to my amp. I used it for one rehearsal so far and was waiting for our gigs after Thanksgiving to share my experience during an actual performance. In the meantime I am awaiting the arrival of my second Rattlesnake cable that I will use with my fretless bass guitar which I use in combos and medium sized bands that don’t specify upright bass.

I think you guys are really treating your customers like royalty, my cable arrived in California two days earlier than expected. Nice touch with the cable bag and Velcro tie. I am making a strong effort to support small businesses based and manufactured in the USA. I’m glad I checked you out in FB. Oh, and I showed the cable to my guitarist in the big band and he was impressed with the quality and the price, having paid much more for another brand high end cable.
